Unjustified Ban from DP

Hey guys,

This morning when I logged into DP it says I have been banned due to having multiple accounts. What's funny was I don't have any multiple accounts and no one else in my family uses DP so there couldn't possibly be 2 accounts being logged into DP with my home IP.

The worst part is the ban would never be lifted. Has anyone ever faced this before? Being wrongfully banned. Is there anyway to contact them and get them to unban my account?

Nope. My account was banned just because some idiot hacked my account and send spam PM all over DP.
I prove myself to be right just by giving them my IP address but still I got banned...permanently.

You can try go to Shawn's house and ask him to lift the ban..lol

if not, goodbye DP.

PS** Ask your sister/brother/mother/father to create an account there.

Sorry about this, this is why using IPs is probably the most the stupidist thing. Specially on a forum that is low on Alexa as DP is some people are bound to end up having the same IP.
There are tons of people who are behind proxy gateways sharing a small range of IPs. For example a workplace might have 100 computers and only 20 IPs, so the IPs are all nated and routed threw the gateway to the lan IPs. and what about people on facebook and myspace?, can you imagine how many of them have the same IPs attached to their history on the website by using a web-based proxies when hundreds of people everyday use the same proxy?

Sigh..yeah. It suddenly dawned on me the same thing Dollar. I used DP in a school's network too which consisted of over 15k students though no one in the school really heard about DP before. Darn but then again I was banned on a Sunday and that would mean I did not access it from the school within the past 3 days =/

Thanks AutoX, yeah I did saw that too..I did hear of people who actually contacted the mods and somehow got their accounts returned. Ya guys heard of any such experience?

The mods in Digital Point forums are crazy, they just keep on banning peoples without further investigation. It would be total misuse of power to ban someone for no exact reason. The mod should first go through the detailed investigation prior banning someone. It's like coconut in monkey's hand, they are just misusing their powers and forgetting their great responsibilities.

They don't ban the scammers there but they ban innocent users.

I agree completely. They are really getting out of hand, besides recently there was news that eBay is sueing Shawn Hogan (founder of DP) for been involved with cookie stuffing. Good grief!

I wish DP gets shut down and the other Webmaster forum will get chance to rise themselves. DP had benefited enough in the last 10 years. Now other webmaster forums should get opportunity, it's time for DP to retire and also the retarded moderators to retire.

Don't feel bad about getting banned on DP, four of DP's top posters of all time are currently banned.
