Default Adsense on proxified pages

Hi All,

I was under the impression that Google squashed you in a firey pit of death if they caught you using google ads on proxified pages, is that correct?

Why do I ask?
Well, I found these guys doing it, and they seem to be having a merry old time, and I was wondering how they're getting away with it. lol.

Adsense makes the majority of my proxy revenue, so if there is a way to have it on my proxified pages with Google NOT wanting to shove a hot pig-iron up my rear end, then I'd love to hear about it. lol.

Yep...
Only if you can make something, that only google ads will be shown on LEGAL sites like Myspace etc...
But Will.Spencer (tech-faq.com owner) wrote something good about it here;

humm.... interesting post by Will. I've spoken with him a few times and he's pretty switched on.

To be fair, when I tested that site, I browsed google and facebook (both of which are adsense-allowed), and google ads appeared in the header and footer, so maybe they are using a system like that. I just wish Google actually offered some support for Adsense.

Maybe I should try talking to my adwords account manager, but last time I spoke to an adwords guy, they were clueless about adsense stuff.

Don't use adsense ads on pages where the content is not from you! Don't add you adsense ID on pages you don't own!

Both is against the adsense TOS, I'm sorry Will is wrong

I disable all adsense ads on proxified pages, just to be sure that my proxies show ads from my own websites

I totally disagree with what will's wrote there.
Like it or not, any pages that is not belong to you i.e your writing, publishing etc are not qualified to be used with your pub id.
I saw someone use a mod to replace all other's ads with owners own ads - something like what vtunnel use, replacing all ads code with his.
that is not good.

Please quote me the line from the AdSense TOS that says you can't do this.

If that were true, Google would not allow ad revenue sharing on forums.

Hi Will,

the call it property but the mean websites

actually this programs are tricky, since the adsense ad is placed through an iframe. The chance is there that the guy who shut you down doesn't understand the rules as other people do. Ask always google for permission before you place you add code on forums or whatever (even on DP there was a lot of problems/discussions in the past)

Ad revenue is different as both you and the other publisher contribute something on the site.
What does your proxy user contribute? money? LoL

Btw, I did have confirmation from one of adsense team and he came up with the reply that no adsense code on something I do not own.
Feel free to go the right channel which is contacting them directly..and yes, feel free to forward my message to them.
