PHProxy acting weird.
Guys, something wrong with my site.
I just replace my cgi proxy with phproxy because I liked the layout.
Could any of you try browsing the proxy to any sites?
It seems the proxy redirects to the real site.
Example:
I go to google.com and it returns proxified google.
But when I try lowyat.net, it just gave me the real address. Nothing proxified as if I never use the proxy at the first place.

Eh? I checked with different proxies, seems like all sites hosted with my countries server wasn't able to be proxified.
How about checking site in your country?

What is the link to your proxy site? Could be some traceroute issue there.

I can use your phproxy as normal, nothing wrong (a little slow)
about lowyat.net
this site redirects to a new URL lowyat.net/v2/, phproxy can't handle these redirets but every cURL based proxy should be able to handle these redirects (didn't tried the other site)

Oh, thanks Swank.
Now you mentioned it, I noticed that using phproxy, any sites with redirection will not be proxified.
Like www.uitm.edu.my, using proxy will lead you to www8.uitm.edu.my/uitm/.
I don't know if this works on glype and others.
Is there any script or mod that can let phproxy surf redirected urls?

Redirecting without curl is nasty, because you need to detect x redirects first and than you need to parse the latest "valid" url. PLUS a redirect would be very unsafe for the hotlinking feature and I think you're unable to trace a lot of your traffic (just imagine someone will do something criminal with your proxies)
I think a redirect would be great in proxies for some users but it has some breakpoints...
EDIT:
maybe an Idea, what if we create the new main page with phproxy and test/get teh real URL and post this current URL to the phproxy script:
create new page called "main.php" the new homepage with all ads etc., test URL if good forward request to index.php as normal)
the page index.inc.php acts only as error page etc. actually this is the same setup as for cgi-proxy...
what do you think (technical) guys?

PWA, I thought I remembered the redirected link was still proxified in your proxy, I just tried to access your proxy again but it seems to have an error appearing.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/surfree/public_html/config.php on line 92

hoho..I was traveling to my in laws house and was surprised to see that the upload of the updated config was not completed thus making the site showing errors. lol.
I have now uploaded the new config and restarting the server as part of monthly maintainance.
