Default Monetizing my proxy.

Alright, so I started my first proxy site last week and I'm running into a bit of a dilemma:
MintSurf.info - Fresh Unblocked Surfing Served Daily

Right now I only have adsense on the main page, and I'm getting a nice amount of money per click, however pretty much no one is clicking them. Given, my traffic is very low right now (~1000 uniques per day), but over promoting right now would only send my bandwidth through the roof, and the cost to revenue ratio would only remain disproportionate.

So...what ad service can I use on proxified pages? Adbrite, infolinks, adsense, adversal, and many others do not allow ads on proxies.

People not clicking much because you have nice looking template but low in CTR

Change your template if possible and place adsense close to the form.

You can use Adbrite, GI, Adversal, Mediashaker ads on proxified page.

Avoid using Adbrite, GI, Mediashaker on proxified pages. Some web filter companies have already blocked these ad networks and placing ads from these companies would have the web filter company block your proxy as well.

Where are your traffic coming from now? Are the majority from US, UK, Aus? You can use Google Analytics for the most accurate result as awstats often deliver very inaccurate visitor demographic results for proxies.

According to Analytic, a large majority of my traffic is from the US.

And what does a nice looking template have to do with clicks?

Clicks often results in how well placed your ads are. If you place ads at the bottom of your site or on the sidebar, those places will result in very low clicks. However, if you try placing ads like link ads from adsense above the proxy url bar and 2 big 300*250 ads in the middle above the proxy url bar that would help bring up your clicks.

Alright, so I'll re-arrange my ads.

Am I going to need ad's on proxified pages to make money?

Thanks everyone for the help by the way, I really appreciate it.

Hey gamerfreak ,

I think i had asnwered a question of urs on dp. Mate don't try to use adbrite on the proxified pages , they will email you asap and cancel the ad channel :/

If you are going to apply for Adversal better don't apply with a proxy site (they rejected my top proxy list even if it's getting alot of page views /month) try to apply with some different kind of site in order to get accepted.

Yep I agree with oxuro, adbrite no longer allows proxies though they havent implemented a full ban on them yet. They just cancel your account when you reach payday. Adversal used to be the best #1 ad network for proxified pages, even better than Adsense way lots, but now they have changed their CPM scheme to unique impressions only thus lowering the revenue rates by alot. But nonetheless if you are getting 1000 US visitors a day to your proxy, I reckon you could still make at least $1 a day with Adversal.

The problem is getting accepted. I'm probably going to have to put my proxies on hold and build a different website at get accepted.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Gamerfreak, the other alternative you can try is buy a turnkey site for about $30-$50 on DP or NP. Examples of turnkey sites are protectwebsite.com and diysubmission. Got those for less than $50 but I believe these sites are good enough for Adversal to accept you.
